Does declining a job offer reduce my chances of receiving future interview/offer?

I recently decided to decline a lateral job offer at a BB. I informed HR that although I am very interested in pursuing a career at that BB, the reason for the decline was that I believed that my experiences and skillsets were more aligned to a different team/position at that BB (the new position was posted after I received the offer) and, as such, I wanted to prioritize consideration for the other team/position (HR mentioned that I would need to decline the offer in order to be able to apply to the other one).

Given the offer decline and reasoning for the decline, is my chances of receiving an interview/offer for the new position lower relative to other applicants?
