Doing my IB junior internship at a top 5 BB this summer - how to lateral to EB full time?

Hey guys,

As the title states, I'm interning this summer at a top 5 BB in the TMT group. After a lot of consideration, I've decided that I want to lateral into an EB (evercore, lazard, PJT) M&A or Rx for a full time position - but I unfortunately do not have any connections at any of these banks. How would you go about making this transition? Should I start reaching out now, before my internship? How much harder is FT recruiting at the EBs?

Thanks for your advice!
