Dry applying?

Is it ever acceptable to apply without networking? Currently in my MBA and would like some insight on if I should always reach out to people before applying? Also if anyone has any specific situations they've done it please let me know.

Thank you

Usually apply wet (if diversity maybe dry could work in some rare situations) (if small firm or very meritocratic dry may also be fine)

Basically equivalent to throwing your resume in a black hole

If you are diversity it's a different situation (you should still network tho), but the non-diversity people who get picked without networking are the extreme exception, not the rule. There's just no reason not to. Especially from an MBA where you've made a huge investment into this
