Due Diligence Focused Roles
In light of refreshing a post I had seen for a REIT, I was curious as to these general roles focusing on Due Diligence within REPE/REIM/Sponsors. Browsing through LinkedIn, it seems these roles and teams are very slim, with a majority working on DD for Acquisitions and Dispositions. I assume with 2 years experience in this role you are assisting the team in scheduling third parties, checking off items Seller provided, speaking with the governmental agencies, etc.
Fast forward a few years and say you are now a Transactions VP/Manager and ~5 years into the role, would this not be the same exact responsibilities this role would be comprised of 2 years in as an Analyst? Perhaps they take on other ad-hoc tasks such as Hold/Sells or assisting with the portfolio reporting.
As this is is not a revenue generating role, this seems to be a 'paper pusher' type role? Has anyone had experience with this role and how compensation would be over the course of 2 years, 5 years, 8+ years?
