Employment History Background Check
I received an offer for an Associate position in Risk Mg at a BB. My employment history on my resume and job application are accurate as written. However 3 years ago, I worked as a supply chain temp at retail company X (those job functions are unrelated to my new offer). I was paid entirely through a staffing agency so company X will not have me listed as employed within their system. On my resume, I disclosed that this employment was a temp position. I am wondering if this will be an issue during my employment background check.
Why did you list an unrelated position on your resume?
What contact info did you provide for said position?
I listed that position because my employment history is fairly short. This temp position was my first job after undergrad.
For contact info, I gave the number of my former supervisor. He was a full time employee of the company. He and I are still friends today.
I'm sure its fine, if they have questions they will probably ask you
Here give them my phone number and I got ya covered. Vandelay Industries, correct?
i would list it in the background check, no worries if its not listed in your resume. background check really wants to know if you have any employment gaps and the full picture. people seem to only get dinged for misrepresenting salary or lying about employment gaps
