Ever ok to double email recruiter?

Been through 2 rounds of in-person interviews with lean CRE development company. The company’s 3rd party recruiter who previously placed several people with them has been my main contact throughout the process and usually sets up next steps and provides feedback between rounds.

Last interaction with the recruiter was one week ago today, during which, I was told by this person that they are set to speak with the hiring manager 2 days later and would then get back to me on potential next steps/feedback/etc. After not hearing anything, I checked in via email the next business day. Now, it’s been another 2 days after checking in and haven’t heard back. Keep in mind it’s also been a whole week from my last message from this person, and I haven’t heard back.

Is it ok to check back in again, even though they haven’t responded?

Also, is this indicative of negative news, or am I being paranoid?

Gotta move on, bro. Recruiters don’t have the balls to tell you they didn’t pick you and just keep you out of the loop until the first choice signs and is onboarded.

They stick it out till it’s good and ghost you. Personally, I’d email someone I had a really good connection with during the interviews.

But if specifically said 2 days last week and hasn’t replied, that’s a sign to move on.
