Experience with getting into IB boutiques?
Hey guys, so Im a junior at a target (ivy) trying to land a boutique IB position for this upcoming semester. I've decided to take a semester off to get relevant experience because I have no prior finance experience (outside my extracurriculars). I just had a couple questions on the best way you guys would handle this process.
So how would you go about networking? I'm probably going to be cold emailing, but what should I say/ask for? Is it better to mention right away I'm looking for an internship? Also the fact that I'd be able to work for 6 months I feel like is a positive from their perspective, so would mentioning that outright help? Thanks in advance

Which college did you transfer from? I got into Cornell as a transfer for Hotel and am considering going to ILR. Is it a hard major? I've heard many say 3.7+ is cake walk
