Experienced Audit Conversion to IB/Analyst
I'm an experienced audit professional with CPA disignation, curious on the potential routes to breaking into the investment banking profession. I have a finance and accounting major from a respected northeast business school (Bryant University, somewhat unkown nationally) as well as a master in taxation from another well respective but non-target business school in the northeast. What would be the recomended approach to breaking in to the investment banking profession is the main question? I do have the credentials of going to a target MBA program but is it possible of breaking in without obtaining is the secondary question.
I have 5+ years experience of audit and extensive financial statement analysis experience but have been somewhate cautious on entering then a professional. I do have the capabilities and oportunities for becoming partner at the current regional firm I currently work for.
Do I have the resume to enter into to this venture is the first questions and how would I approach such a life altering movement is the second (i.e. networking extensively or MBA). Any constructive feedback is encouraged.
