Experienced hire cold email
For someone who has been working in the industry for a couple years and looking to jump firms/buyside ASAP, would the best angle for cold emailing be asking for advice (about the industry/how they broke in/etc) or being more direct (stating experience and how that would be a fit and if there are any opportunities)? I assume since you are experienced most people would know why you are contacting them (for leads on a job)
Why don't you state your background, why you are interested in the industry and request to meet/talk over the phone and go from there.
You are still working, right?
Not sure if that is of any help, but I think that's how I would do it.
Yes + if you have an actionable investment idea - that is always welcomed in this community. Ive always found more success when I had thought out investment ideas to speak too
