You don't have to choose one. Your school is most likely going to be online, meaning 1) schoolwork will take way less time, and 2) social stuff will be virtually nonexistent. You'll have time for both

yup, short term pain for long-term gain. You' could make up to double what your friends make in their junior summer internships (not to mention starting job). But it's more than the money. You learn way more on the job than you do in school. That's a phrase you might hear a lot, but it's definitely true.

Do both - you need an internship to help craft a story for SA recruiting. And yes, even if it's unpaid - you're a sophomore intern you'll likely be a negative value add if anything don't expect to be paid

Oh it most definitely will be busy work lol - but you still gotta do it just like everybody else. And tbh if you're lucky, you could land a boutique with solid work. I did fuck all for my soph fall internship, but I did and learned a lot during my soph summer, so it's honestly a hit or miss

It WILL definitely be busy work, or worse, grunt work. When they say you learn on the job for these summer internships, you don't actually learn doing the job. Instead, you learn by talking to the people who have been doing the job for years. Unfortunately, no bank will consider you without proof of you doing this AKA internships.

With that said, I have had some great internships where I got to work on real projects, but those have been for Fortune 100 companies.
