Feel Stuck and Desperate For Way Out - Need Advice

I'm 24 working in WM at a BB. I graduated from a non-target Apr 2021 and I did not want to be in WM from the getgo. I took the FT offer anyway because it was guaranteed pay during the uncertainty that surrounded the job market at the onset of COVID. My desire from Junior year of college has always been to land a job within IB, however, my luck has not been favorable. Frankly, I feel stuck in this job because it is essentially a 2-year training program where they rotate you around different roles within a branch bank to ultimately be a sales agent that pitches prepackaged financial planning products in addition to credit cards and bank accounts. None of the skills in my current job are marketable for IB apps so I even went out of my way to sharpen my modeling skills with Training The Street and have something credible on my resume (I tried to tailor my resume as close as possible for IB apps without having actual SA experience). I've considered taking sick days to fly out on Fridays to NYC and spend the day handing out resumes in the FiDi and showing face hoping that through persistence I could land an interview but I don't know if that would be an effective way to utilize my time. I know what I am capable of and it is for sure more than this current job. Yes, I have been actively applying but I have been met with radio silence. I'm open to any and all advice on how I can possibly move forward from here.
