Feeling Discouraged

I transferred this year from my non-target school to a target in my country for recruiting purposes, I have a strong GPA, relevant internship, I’ve done dozens of networking calls, and I still feel like I’m getting nowhere. I’ve got relevant experience (some micro PE internships over spring and summer working on a roll-up, and some time with search funds) but for the most part I’m not even breaking through to first rounds. I’m in my sophomore year, so trying to set up a 2023 junior summer IB internship and it feels really make or break. I’m concerned I won’t make it in. I look good on paper - I have this doubt now that there’s something wrong with me. I’m seeing all these others get in because they got lucky with a connection or who even knows, with weaker GPAs and much less effort. Wondering how the rest of you cope with rejection and get back on your feet. Recruiting is far from over in my country and I need to get my head back in it.

Had the same situation here. I can tell you that something changed when I received help over my cv structure and keywords. Then, I used to fail most of the interviews due to the lack of self confidence despite being extremely prepared every time. I solved it by doing some mock interviews with a coach found on Fiverr, he helped me to cope with tough questions, to keep calm, to structure my answers and most importantly to put myself in the shoes of the recruiters in order to understand what they're looking for in each of your reply. That's how I solved the issue you're facing rn. Hope it helps :)
