Finance Internships during Freshman year?
I am a freshman at George Washington, so a non-target, and I want to start building up my resume for sophomore year BB analyst applications.
What kind of internships are likely to get freshman year, and when does recruitment for them usually start? Would I have to do cold-calling, and if so how should I pitch myself considering lack of previous finance experience?
bump.
Reach out to alumni, smaller places are more likely to be receptive. Your pitch is that you are hungry and you want to learn. You should be competent in excel, punctual, and normal.
Look at other threads here on how to reach out.
Don't ruin your college experience trying to get one, freshman year internships aren't likely to matter much in the grand scheme.
