Finance Jobs with Work/Life Balance?
basically the title. I have about 1-2 yrs of experience in PE. I'm curious what finance jobs actually have decent work/life balance. IAny of these jobs have WFH?
Do these positions make at least ~$100K give or take?
Boutique M&A Advisory
Endowments have a great WLB and a decent pay.
If only 100k is the goal- yes, plenty of jobs. Look for SFA roles at corporates. A prior role of mine was WFH and I eventually got proficient enough to be working ~10hrs a week. No upward mobility. Hated it.
what is SFA?
Senior Financial Analyst
Even back office makes 100k at non-entry level. I think you have a wide range to pick from
Sales and trading. Everyone in my office is in between 6-7 and out between 4 and 5. Granted you’re busy and can’t leave for those 10 hours, but no late nights and no weekends.
Don’t know if that’s really WLB for some who can get in at 9 and take an hr for lunch. S&T is it’s own grind
Performing credit on the buyside. I only work 8-5 and the work is generally interesting since it’s investing. One of the guys on my team lateraled from a sweaty PE job.
PWM jobs even at analyst/associate levels will clear that.
Corporate banking at Associate level role can be cushy job with great base.
