First round w/ Lincoln this week... what do I do if I know nothing?
Soph from a target school, shot apps at every bank because I thought interviews would be a lot later.
Got a first round in a couple days... any chance I can get past without any technical knowledge? How much can I realistically prep until then?
Any consequences of withdrawing my app?
Just do it. Have an interview at a MF PE fund in 24 hours and am going through the process even though I am not the most technically sound.
You can absolutely get most of the way there in a few days. Most first round techs are "walk me through a DCF" "$10 depreciation" "name 3 valuation methods" just to make sure you've done the prep. Hard techs come later. Grind the M&I 400 as those are by far the most frequent questions. Given short turnaround I would also invest in a prep course like the WSO one as they will spoon feed it to you like you're in class.
Definitely don't withdraw the app. Worst case scenario you ding on technicals, it's good interview practice... best case scenario the first round isn't technical and you buy yourself a few more days to keep prepping
This is the type of WSO I need rn lmfao. Absolutely you can do fine just stay up all night and study bwis.
