Following up on a networking email
I sent a networking email on Wednesday to this former MD at a bulge bracket bank who lives near my neighborhood. I just gave him my background (i.e. I'm a student at school X majoring in A and minoring in B) and that I knew a good mutual friend of ours. I just asked if I could meet him for ~15-20 minutes. He hasn't responded yet. How would I follow up this email? I don't think I made the email too long (you don't have to scroll down on gmail to read it).
Also, I mentioned as my subject "Econ Major at School X interested in (insert BB bank here)." I figured that would be an okay subject header. What do you think?
Why don't you ask the mutual friend to introduce you?
