Found a job opening, how do I find the most likely point of contact for hiring?
Hey,
So there is a job opening I am interested in at a very large firm. The job is only available through their career website's form. I know which team the position is for, but unfortunately the team is 50+ people.
How do i go about finding the right person to contact? I cold called one Managing Director already who I thought may have been in charge of the group, but I am not really sure. I left him a voicemail.
I have no clue who else to contact. There are 10-15 other MD's as well who could potentially be involved in the hiring. I have zero problem calling every one of them, but I know that probably wont be received well hah. I do not want to be too pushy, but I also know that this isn't a position you get by sending in an online app.
Should I just shoot for the 'recruiters' in that office (which I can find on LinkedIn but not their website)? Or just keep trying the higher level MDs?
Is this very large firm Goldman Sachs?
@daniel88 did you end up finding the right hiring manager / MD? i'm in the exact situation as you right now. Would appreciate sharing your experience! thanks!
