From equities to credit
Hi guys:
I was wondering if anyone can opine on switching from public equities to credit when you are ~5 years into your career please? Assuming the candidate is from a reputable buy-side equities firm (deep fundamental research, long holding period), what are the doors that are open, and what are the gaps the candidate should cover themselves? Are only certain types of credit investing roles still open for them?
Considered setting up your own shop?
haha thanks HFT - I know this switch mid-career is uncommon, but would love to hear if/how others have managed. thanks!
