Getting a CFA while doing my MBA

Hi,

I'm starting my full time 2 year MBA program ( not a target school) this coming August and was considering studying for my CFA at the same time. My end goal is to get a job in Private Equity in NYC.

My undergrad degree is in finance with a good GPA I have three years of corporate finance experience working as a Financial Analyst

Thanks.

I passed CFA levels 2 and 3 while attending grad school (one of the H/S/W fulltime mba programs). It’s possible but your time is probably better spent networking and getting to know your classmates. I wouldn’t recommend it in hindsight.
