Getting into an analyst progrm not straight out of undergrad
Is it possible to get into an analyst program when your not straight out of undergrad. I spent the last 4 years prop trading for a pretty reputable firm and I've been looking to do something else.
I graduated in 2006 with a degree in finance 3.5 gpa from a school not top 15 but top 30.
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to much of anything available that doesn't require "1 or 2 years in investment banking or analyst program" and it seems these programs are only for people straight out of college. My current experience isn't really helping me land anything.
Any advice for someone whose been struggling even to get an interview somewhere at a bank/private equity/ or hedge fund?
Being in school is extremely helpful, especially if you have a strong career center. I would definitely consider a masters or mba to tap this resource. Otherwise, you can still apply for FT analyst gigs, it will be an uphill battle and you will need to network like a mad man. Furthermore, the majority of your analyst colleagues wil be freshly minted grads.
Damn near impossible. I've been trying as hard as I can and haven't found anything.

The CFA should read 2011.
