Getting Paid Less than Other Intern Who has Less Experience

Hello All, the title explains my situation pretty clearly.

I am an intern at a fairly large regional bank and am working in a team with one other intern (the company has nearly 30 CB interns in total, my group has two) and I recently discovered that the other intern I am working with is making a decent amount more than I am (We are paid hourly in case that is relevant).

This typically wouldn't bother me if the pay disparity existed for a valid reason, however I can't find one. This internship is my third with a commercial bank, while the other intern has no previous experience. We both go to non-target schools of similar quality, and my stats are somewhat better overall (4.0 vs 3.6, more leadership experience, etc.). I am from a different state than the location of my internship (same state as the school I attend) that has a higher COL and the other intern lives in the state I am working in. The other intern says he did not negotiate pay at all during the interview/offer process and had no competing offers at the time of acceptance while the bank expedited their process while interviewing me due to a competing offer with another bank (I did not disclose how much the other bank was offering to pay me).

I truly have nothing against the other intern and we are on very friendly terms, I'm just trying to understand the pay disparity and determine if it's worth bringing up. I have expenses and the difference would certainly improve my situation, however I fear I may harm my chances of a return offer.

Any feedback or advice pertaining to my situation would be greatly appreciated.

Damn that sucks

Do you think it's worth bringing up? I normally wouldn't hesitate but the internship has otherwise been great along with the company and I don't want to kill my chances of a return offer.
