Goldmansachs after superday advice

I had a superday interview with GS on 9/24 for an analyst position. They called 9/28 to ask if I had any competing offers or deadlines that they should be aware of and I stated that I did not. The HR lady said that they were interviewing a couple more people during the week and they would let me know if I got the position at the end of the week or beginning of next. It's now 10/6 and I still have yet to hear back. Does this mean I'm most likely no longer being considered, waiting on hold as a potential 2nd choice, or perhaps they sometimes just take longer than stated. I'm looking for any advice or guidance on this situation. I was considering sending a follow-up email to the HR lady who contacted me either tomorrow or Friday, but I'm not sure if that would help or not. Any input is appreciated!

Alright I emailed HR and they responded "At this time the team is still interviewing and looking at additional candidates. However, we have continued to circulate your materials and you should be receiving outreach from another team as well." so I'm not really sure if I got rejected to the first position and they're gonna have me interview for a different position or what. Feel free to let me know how y'all interpret that.

It means that you didn't get the role. I've had two superdays with them and if they want you, the offer is generated quickly. They put you on a waitlist and are most likely waiting to hear back from the candidates that they gave the first offers to before pulling from the waitlist. Try not to overthink it and just keep applying to other jobs.
