Got an offer for the summer but feels very strange. Need advice/assurance?

I've been grinding for almost 3/4ths of a year now trying to find an internship and yesterday got an offer from a very good asset manager for the summer through email. I was super happy, but what sketches me out is that they didn't interview me - I did one of those Hirevue type things, a personality test, and I sent in a work sample. That's it. They've never interacted with me in real time, not even over video. I thought my Hirevue was total crap btw as well.

I wasn't even expecting anything since I sent in the sample 3 weeks or so ago, and just wrote it off. They even said to me in one of their previous emails that their second round was a live interview video with a couple of analysts.

I feel so weird about it, but the email is from the right person at HR, and it is to my email, with my name on it. I also sent in the work sample to the CIO, and I am pretty proud of it and it is pretty good but other places have seen the sample and not moved on.

What do I do? Could they have fucked up? Maybe I've just had so many rejections that I'm just overthinking it? Any words would be appreciated.

like monkey guy said, make sure to double check it to make sure it's not fake. But if it is real congrats on the offer and good luck!

"ssc97" This is pretty strange. Did you apply directly through their web site? Have you independently contacted them - or could you get someone to get in touch with their HR (maybe a friend you know who works there or your university careers center) to verify?

Seems suspicious they didn't do a f2f, at the very least a video chat.

Fr, you think at least that would happen
