GS Ops: Best exit ops?

As title suggests, I'm in GS ops, and would like to know what the best exit opportunities are typically for ops. Is getting into s&t that far fetched, anyone have similar experience, etc? Thank you

Have worked at GS in a FO role and have helped several people transition from back office roles before. You will need someone willing to push your resume to the hiring managers whether that’s an analyst/associate/vp/md (best option) or your own md putting you forward with a glowing recommendation. Without these connections, you’re not likely to make the switch.

You can try to move over with the early careers program but you’ll be up against every other back office person who thinks they can be much more. Everyone thinks they can make the switch because they’re the narrator of their own story, but you need to stand out and a) outperform each of your peers in your current job to get a top quartile ranking and b) make connections that will vouch for you and give you an edge.

You’ll need to grind out networking calls, treating each like a mini interview to prove you’re not just any another back office person trying to make the switch. Even with all of that, you’ll need luck that the hiring manager is going to hire you over all of their other options internally and externally
