My first post in this forum will be a frantic one. I just discovered today that I was offered a BCG interview spot tomorrow afternoon after being an alternate. I did not expect this opportunity (especially on such short notice!), and I have never had an exposure to consulting case style interviews before.
I skimmed through case in point and read some sample cases, but does anyone have any insight for someone in my place? I am beginning to freak out just a little.
My preparation is extremely limited, but I'm hoping some of my personal business acumen can help carry me through the first round so I can really begin the preparation following tomorrow. Words of wisdom are great appreciated!

They have "consulting group" in their brand name. This puts them WAY ahead of their competition (like McKinsey and Bain) because their clients know directly what kind of company they are dealing with and what kind of services they can expect. Other than that, their main color is dark green which stand for hope and is way friendlier than the cold blue or aggressive red of their competitors.
This, plus BCG is shorter to spell than Bain or McKinsey. Efficiency is always an indicator of success and superiority.

Also, BCG is the only one that can be used as an acronym, the other two cannot; so it has to be better!
BCG also sounds more like a rapper than McKinsey or Bain. You would want your friends to think you're working at some place cool.

I'd steer clear of Boston Consulting Group. As they're a 'group', you only work with about 5 other people.

Just be very good at the case, simple as that. You've got the right material in hand. Also, if you know who your interviewers are, google/linkedin them, know them very well. You're interviewing in India, and if any race likes its ass being kissed, its Indians...so make sure you drop one liners like "Oh you went to IIM-A? What a great school" or "I see you worked at McKinsey before, what made the switch?"

Hey thanks for the response! I am currently going through the case frameworks/other theoretical stuff (cost curves etc..) and will soon be starting practicing cases with friends/family. I do not know who the interviewer will be, but the only information that the HR shared was that 2-3 Project Leaders will interview in R1 (60 mins approx.).

Do a ton of case practice. And do try and HR for the names for your interviewers...trust me knowing your interviewer beforehand, especially if he is quite accomplished (ie - huge ego, there for the stroking), can come in as handy as being good at case interviews.
Don't focus so much on the theoretical. Frameworks are good for organizing your thoughts but do not verbalize "I am going to be using the X framework" etc. What you should definitely focus on is verbalizing your thought process every single step of the way. Not only does it show your thought process, but allows the interviewer to correct you if you move down the wrong path, which is totally fine!
