Help. What should I study?

Hello. I'm on need of advice from you guys! I am currently studying mechanical engineering at McGill University. Im interested in working in IB and possibly PE on the near future. But I have a problem. I underwent surgeries the last 2 summers so I couldn't take any internships. I'll finish my degree next year (may 17) My question is. Which is the best MS I can do next to maximize my possibilities to break into IB (I'll have 2 more summers to do internships if I do a graduate degree right away ). I was thinking the MS MS&E at Columbia or Stanford .

Another option was to do an MS in mechanical engineering at MIT. Can I break into IB with this MS. Or the previous 2 options are better for me?

Thanks in advance for your help!
