HireView Importance

I know that there’s no definitive answer as to whether hireviews are looked at by AI/Humans but I wanted a better understanding of their overall impact on one’s application. If one were to tick all the other criteria (solid CV, target school etc.) would banks still invite that candidate to AC/TI if their HireView responses weren’t great (think along the lines of less eye contact, running over time for a question etc.)?

There is a definitive answer: they're looked at by humans. I know because I've literally done it. I'd assume there is some sort of AI scoring too but i doubt that informs the entire decision. Humans definitely looks at hirevues.

If your hirevue isn't great would a bank still consider you? Possibly. There are sometimes "double checks" in place but I won't lie, they are likely not going to be for "solid profiles" but more "disadvantaged backgrounds" or flagged individuals. That doesn't mean these people automatically get through but they might get a second look.

I mean look dude, there are a shit tonne of people with solid profiles and if you gave everyone the benefit of the doubt despite hirevues, you may as well just not use the hirevue in the first place. It's definitely used as a significant filtering mechanism (depending on where exactly in the application process it lands).
