How can I avoid a conflict of interest in this situation?

Hi everyone! Been lurking for a while and am glad to jump in.

So I've arranged a couple of informational interviews with Evisors- this online platform that connects you to mentors for a fee (yep, the mentors get paid to talk). My aim is to get a job referral from them. However, I realize that this might present a conflict of interest for the mentors, as their companies might see this as me buying them off and me unduly exerting pressure on them to force my way towards a job. Also, a recruiter I have contacted via a similar pay-to-talk site has said that she cannot go into detail about the recruitment process as it wouldn't be right for this site to pay her for what her company is already paying her to do.

Is there any way of eradicating the conflict of interest and securing a referral? One possibility I see is to present myself as a stellar, "wow" candidate, so that the contact will give me a referral through his own volition and in doing so negate the so-called monetary pressure. But will the fact that I paid to talk (so to speak) mean no referrals? That is what I am afraid of. I've looked up conflict of interest examples and am really confused. Would appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance!!

Warmest Regards, South Park Fan (hence the username)
