How do I approach entering finance?
Hello, I am a freshman at a semi-target university. I recently became interested in the thought of having a job in finance. Ever since I decided to go for major in economics, the decision to pursue was always a question at the back of my mind. I think I want to try to go for recruiting in sophomore fall, but I don't even know where I'd start with helping me prepare for it. To start, I'm not even sure what finance jobs would suit me. I think I have a preference for S&T right now, I'd prefer a job with a little more work-life balance, but I have no actual experience to argue any job over another. I've done more research about the bigger ones (like IB and S&T), but I understand that there's many more jobs that I also might be interested in (such as financial advising, etc..). Is there a comprehensive list or program that gives me a rundown of the different finance jobs?
