How hard is it for a person like my profile to get into I-Banking ?

I want to know how I can break into I-banking or any related field to jump start my career.

I'm 26 yrs old college dropout from Engineering (4 year ago). In fact I was kicked out of school for having a low GPA (1.6 Avg).

I have zero professional exp. There are large gaps in my employment history. I intend to go back to school this spring and the counselor said I could graduate with a semester and few summer classes with barely satisfying the 2.0 level.

Financially, I'm much more stable. I have been an active retail trader for a while mostly equity options and fx. Took some long GBP/USD position at historic low which paid of well. I have had a net income of approx 1.8 million in the this fiscal year ending July.

I have been thinking of getting into a MBA once I get the Ugrad finished but I'm skeptical if any decent school would entertain a candidate with a profile like mine.

Any suggestions or ideas welcome.

Thank you for reading this.

Assuming you're not completely full of shit, why would you want to go to work for a bank (or anyone else for that matter) or go back to school? Realistically, starting from where you are right now, it would take a few massive strokes of luck and at least a decade inside the walls of a college and investment bank to replicate the results you've managed to produce over the past year.

Why go backwards?
