How long do grades matter, if I have work experience already?

Being completely honest,

My grades back in college were horrendous. I got less than a 3.0/4 GPA, virtually did not care much during University, and believed a lot of the classes I took were not going to benefit me in the future. I had my own business, ran it, and cared more about my extracurricular work than my education at the time. Now that I have graduated (in 18') and already have work experience in the financial services industry, as well as a firm that works with with practically all banks (Think FactSet, etc). How many years out of college do banks stop asking for your transcripts?

I grew up after graduating, and did fast. After entering the real world and living on my own, my work ethic has increased, I perform well at my job, and am studying to take my SIE in preparation in case I need to get licensed for the 7/6/66/etc. I'm looking for a career switch, but if I have to increase my experience by another year in a similar industry not at a BB, I will in effort to prove myself with my previous work experience and accomplishments. Thanks guys.
