How long does it take between given a verbal offer and signing contract?
I got an ibd intern verbal offer from HR last week and the HR claimed will make it asap and ideally start my work in this week. However, I am still waiting for the contract. Wanna know what am I waiting for? What process the recruiter has to take and how long? Many thanks monkeys

It’s dependent on location, program, availability, formality, recruiter, firm, etc.. Too many factors. When I interned at a regional boutique it took me less than one day to go through everything, while when I recruited for SA it took 2 weeks to get the contract. So there’s no clear answer to your question.

The HR from a gigantic company told me about 4 weeks ago that they were interested in me even though they didn't know how to onboard new hires during this COVID-19 shit. They asked me to stay tuned and would get back to me ASAP. It's been 4 weeks now.

yo, my rationale is giving them 7 days to get back to me, and 7 days before following up. I’d send an email Monday morning to check in and “see if they need anything from you”.

HR at your new shop is dealing with a lot more than on-boarding a junior hire right now. I don't really think anyone here can give you more specific guidance than check in once in a (non-annoying) while.
