How the f*** do you pass HireViews?

I have 3 separate internship experiences under my belt at firms (tech, M&A Advisory and boutique bank) with around 10,000 employees that don’t have a hire view/video assessment.

So I have no problem talking to a person and getting an offer, but I have now failed 6 Hireviews at JPM, Lazard, UBS… over the last two recruiting seasons.

I understand these are reviewed by AI and they check for things like eye movement, key words, range of vocabulary, hand movement, tone of voice… so it’s a completely different ball game to regular interviews.

So my questions is, so I need to completely re-think how I approach these video assessments to pass them? If so, what tips can you give?

EDIT boutique bank has 100 employees, the other two internships were at firms of around 10,000 head count

Funniest

these massive companies are so inhuman that it's kind of hilarious.

"sorry bud, but the artificial intelligence machine said that your eyes were sifting too much to the left and your head nodded 4 centimeters too far to the right, better luck next year"

The worse thing is that it’s called ‘innovative technology’ by all the firms using it.

It's not that you're not passing hirevues. It's that you aren't getting first rounds. Are you networking properly?

Not the same compagnies as you, but I once got told that I was invited to the first round (and hence passed the Hirevue) when I didn’t even record my video yet. lol

Where I’m at currently they select candidates to interview based on their resume and then check their Hirevue just to get to know them a little bit and make sure they’re no crazy or completely clueless. So basically you cannot get selected based on your Hirevue, but you can get dinged for it if it’s really shit.
