How to deal with really mismatched deadlines & ask for an extension/forcing other firms to accelerate?
I'm interviewing for a couple of AM firms for internships, and the spread of the timelines is really weird - no interview invite yet even though I've had a positive from a lot of the larger firms like T. Rowe and Wellington, but I have a final round with a really good performance but without a lot of brand name boutique ($25-60B in AUM) coming up very soon, where I feel really positive about my chances to get an offer. If I get an offer, I'd have to ask the firms to speed up their respective timelines a lot, and that feels strange, especially since I'd have to ask a lot of them to do so. How should I go about doing both things? And how long should I ask for?
