How to Follow Up on Mock Interview With MD at BB?

My school offers a program in which if selected, alumni from banks schedule 30 minute mock interviews with us. I had the opportunity to speak to an MD who was Head of Fixed Income (Regionally) at GS/MS/JPM. Wasn't really an interview, more like networking, we spent most of the time talking about markets and recruiting but I was also asked some bond math questions (duration, of which I got some right and one wrong). Think he definitely liked me and said I had a strong resume.

My question is wow do I follow up on this connection? Obviously I'm going to keep in touch and potentially try and speak with him again when applications open, but should I ask him if he could connect me to more people? Would it be bad taste to ask if he knows people in IB? (I'll probably recruit for both S&T and IB) Since he's based on the West Coast, would it also be bad taste to ask about people working in NYC?

Thank you so much!
