How to get in private equity if you have no experience?

I am a 23 year old with experience only in finance, audit and accounting. I am currently doing CFA. My graduate degree involved me going for a proffesional course in accounting. So I do not have any association with Ivy league universities. I would like to establish a career in private equity and solely applying to job postings in private equity hasnt been helping. how do you suggest I up my game to ensure that i get started on my journey?

You need to provide geogrpahy and why you want to move to PE. In Europe and especially the UK you see people moving from the Big4 to PE. But not in the US afaik.

So if in the UK, networkk, try to be exposed to PE related work - ie preparing sets of accounts prior to a sale etc, or move to the FDD/TAS team of a Big4.

If in the US I'd guess that an MBA would be your best option by going into either Banking or Consulting and then moving into LMM/MM PE at best.
