Okay, so here is the situation.
I somehow have built up a rapport with an HR woman for a MM bank in LA even though I am on the east coast and would rather work in NY where they also have a big office. How can I transition to this or would it be rude to ask the HR lady in LA if I can intern in NY.
Edit: Nm reread your post. Just ask but usually its very hard. Whatever office they recruit you into is usually the one they want you to work at.
