How to land a gig in Scandinavia / Switzerland?

So I'm a US target school grad and have been working for a BB in CMBS / Credit Derivatives for about 3 years now. While I clearly know the best opportunities for me lie in NY, and then London, I'm pretty fond of Scandinavia / Switzerland / Continental Europe (excluding France). Wondering if anyone on here had any advice on how to land a gig in any high paying finance field in these geographies and what the shortcomings of such a career are (for example, would it be easy to transition back to NYC / London after a few years). I was thinking an MBA / Masters / PhD might be one option. Any additional color would be welcome.

Ready to be proved wrong, but you need to be native.

Scandis tend to go for natives, but Germany and Switzerland used to be more open for US guys. If you can't move internally, best bet is just to take a step down and network at the regional powerhouses (SEB, Nordea and Handelsbanken are big in Scandinavia) while Commerzbank are strong in Germany (DB is a given). Not all to familiar on Swiss banks outside of UBS and CS, for your skillset. A couple of the French banks in Switzerland would be my best guess.

A minority of guys working Scandi are able to transition back to NYC or London if you stay for 3+ years. Paychecks will be lower too. Don't know all too much about Continental Europe.
