How To Leave A Job?

Hi Monkeys,

Will try to keep this as brief as possible.

For the past 6 months, I have worked as a first-year valuation analyst at one of the world's largest HFs/PEs. I don't really enjoy the job, find myself bored more often than not, and don't see any growth prospects. Anyway, I got an offer last week to go to T15 IB starting next January which to me is an absolute no-brainer. With that being said, how do I leave my job? Are there any unspoken requirements for leaving a role in Finance? My team is small so I would want to keep this transition as smooth as possible.

Thanks!!

Tell them as early as possible. Make the transition as easy on them as possible and leave a good impression on your way out. It's a small world, you never know when you will run into those people again.
