How to show MD during coffee chat that I would be a good candidate?

I am a rising junior who is interested in credit analysis and distressed debt, and have been mainly interviewing for RX IB roles for SA 2020 but so far hasn't received any offers. Recently I read that an alumni of my school became an SMD at the distressed arm of a leading buy-side firm, and I know that they have an established analyst/SA program. I reached out to him expressing my interest in distressed debt and wanting to coffee chat to learn about his experience, and surprisingly he agreed to meet for coffee. I was wondering if there are any tips on approaching this chat. Usually, I like to be very personable and chill during chats to really let them like me as a person, but in this case I feel like I want to really show him how much I know/how strong my interest is so he can consider me for the SA position. How would you guys suggest me to approach this?
