How to turn IB coffee chat into IB Summer Analyst interview

One associate from a BB IB offered to help me, but I feel like she was just being polite. I was wondering what I should say in the thank you email and I was wondering what's the best way to say thanks and to ask for her possible help with getting considered for a summer analyst position there?

I don't know if to ask for a referral, I don't know if to ask to be pushed to the next round of consideration (I've heard of some people getting to the next round after one call), I don't know if I should just casually mention I already applied. I don't really know what's within the realm of how I can receive help, or what's appropriate to ask for, towards getting considered for a summer analyst interview.

Thoughts and suggestions, please.
