Huge GPA drop and its potential consequence

Hi everyone,

For background, I am currently a junior at a target school (only mentioning this due to its rigor) and am on track to intern at a BB this upcoming summer. I've had a good GPA so far (3.6-3.8 range) and strong experience as a sophomore. However, this semester has been a disaster for me. One of my family members passed away over and I do not have much of a support system to help go through it. I ended up fucking up most of my classes this semester and can potentially drop to the 2.7-2.9 range. I'm still not done with my finals but I know there's no way of catching back up. How screwed am I going forward?

Sorry about your loss. I'm pretty sure you can only drop your GPA that much if you like get F's across the board, at which point it's probably worth talking to an academic advisor about withdrawing from all classes or taking incompletes for what sounds like pretty valid reasons. In general, people are willing to help/be understanding, but you need to take the initiative and ask.
