iBanking recruiting basic info

I'm sure this topic is well-tread, but I'd love for someone to point me in the right direction. I'm looking for information on iBanking / consulting recruiting. I am a junior at a top university (a step below HYPSM) with a 3.6. I'm also a varsity athlete. Mostly looking for information about application process and what firms to target. Any help is appreciated

Are you expecting people to google this information for you and post it here?

I promise you its faster to just look it up instead of waiting for people to paraphrase the results for you. This is probably the single most thoroughly covered banking question ever.

If I were you I'd personally delay graduation by a semester to recruit for internships, as pretty much every bank except for regional shops with like 50 employees are finished recruiting. Recruiting for the summer of 2023 starts in only a few months. Also try and get something for this summer, even if it's just in the finance department at a company or something, that will help you a ton. You can 100% break in considering you’re at a top school and a varsity athlete if you hustle

Yes you can recruit full time. You are expected to know more, it’s also a bit less structured, but you’re competing against much fewer people. I would say don’t target any of the top firms, just try and get into ibanking anywhere even if it’s a firm no one has heard of. You can always lateral to a better bank after a year, the part that is hardest is just getting the first job

The process is pretty much wrapped up for 2020 besides regional boutiques and some random open spots.

RBC opened for 2023 SA

EB will open February / March

Larger MM and Industry Boutiques Blair, Leerink, Houlihan, Baird, Raine, etc. all will open February - April

BB - June/July/August (MS,GS,JPM,etc.) Some MM as well.

RJ - August/Septemeber

HW - September/October

If you are at a top target you will have campus recruiting so will be more clear.
