In a screener interview, is it okay to directly reference something you interviewer tweeted?
I sent a cold email and have a screener phone interview today. I want to talk about a company my interviewer most recently tweeted. It’s a pretty crazy business that doesn’t even realize why it’s a game changing business, it’s just doing some piddly shit atm. Can I just be direct: “hey last night I was just searching around online to prepare for our conversation and saw your Twitter post about company, let’s talk about that”
They’re not investors yet but I’m wondering if this is okay to bring up or would rather be seen as weird I did that digging that far
Bump, call in a few hours, please advise
I wouldn't bring that up to avoid being creepy, but it's certainly better than saying damn man looks like you had a lot of fun on your Dubai vacation in 2014.
