Are you sophomore or senior?

Bro people break in a couple years after graduating all the time. It’s not the end of the world.

yes. anyone who tells you that it's just about "grinding" and whatever is a massive liar. people only ever make it because they are lucky.

Depends if OP is at a target or non-target. Most kids who want IB at my school do get it.

Wrong. It’s only over once you want it to be over.

Take a step back and refine your approach if strategy (A) hasn’t been working, go for strategy (B).

At any point random Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring Analyst positions could open up.

Summer 2025 also doesn’t have to be the end all be all, there are plenty of banks that recruit analyst interns on an as needed basis. Find them, get your line in the water, and wait for a bite.

I’ve been recruiting for FT for 8 months now, it has been brutal and discouraging. But I will not quit and I will not give up.

It’s only over once you give up. Go look in the mirror and decide how bad you really want this.

Cheers, and good luck!

swear i just saw your comment saying you got into db m&a with nontargets

As someone who fucked up spring recruitment and summer recruitment and ultimately ended up getting an offer in the fall, you’re fine. If you have a strong GPA, good resume, take the process serious, and can hold a conversation you’ll get an offer a reputable firm.
