Jeff employee here - Not sure about recruitment for HC but expect very technical interview for any JEFF off-cycle (I’m assuming that’s what you’re aiming for given they opened). You’re expected to perform as an analyst from day 1, market is hard right now and especially if you want an offer you really need to know how to work independently very early

the team is top notch, they have a strong dealflow and are one of the biggest revenue generators

unsure about culture in that team but Jeff is not a lifestyle bank. I’m on their same floor and have often seen people around at 3am or working Saturday and Sunday. As an off cycle expect to be grilled hard but if you survive and perform you can be sure you’ll be a rockstar analyst

Overall I like to summarise Jeff as follows: a great platform for top performers, where you get incredible exposure very early on and have the chance to really be seen. Life’s not that good if you’re not good though

Hi there,

Thanks very much for this in-depth respond, I appreciate it very much.

Yes, I’m aiming for the off-cycle and I applied for HC as I wanted to specialise in HC & Pharma early on (strong interest since before coming to UK).

I did my two previous internships in PE so I think I’m quite confident on the technical bit. What concern me is the selection process for first round interview - I’m just waiting to hear back after having done the online assessment.

I’ve reached out to some people on LinkedIn - haven’t been able to speak to anyone from the HC team yet but I’ve spoken to a few associates and analysts from the M&A team. Overall, sounds like a culture that’s not too different from my previous experiences but because I haven’t had the chance to go through many IB process, I was trying to understand how to position myself and / or how to get my CV noticed from the team post OT.

Again, thanks very much - I appreciate it!
