Job comparison between Corporate Banking vs Private Banking

Hi Everyone,

Been trying to find a direct comparison but to no avail but here goes I am currently working as a Credit Analyst in an MNC and looking to break into credit sector within the Bank.

I have two potential offers that I am awaiting for the HR to email me for further details.

1) Assistant RM (Corporate Banking) - Assist in onboarding of clients and credit analysis - Major focus on syndicated loans.

Was told by the RM that assistant RM usually either carry on to become a RM or take on Credit related roles in the back office depending on what they are looking for.

2) Private Banking Credit Analyst - More operations oriented at the entry level setting up accounts and simple credit analysis submitted for further approvals.

I understand that they are vastly different groups of banking but looking if anyone with related experience would be able to provide me insight with regards progression of both jobs.

Thank you in advance!
