Job for me

Hi guys, I go to a top 15 state school and a top 20 undergrad business school. I am graduating in the spring and currently have a 2.8 gpa but am hoping to end with around a 3.0. I have had a few great internships through networking such as working at an investment firm and another at a major player in the investment industry. Neither have positions open for full time employment for recent grads. It seems like even though I have been able to network into good internships, it is not as easy to network into full time positions with a bad gpa. I have very strong bloomberg and financial modeling skills and am much smarter than my gpa suggests. Are there any specific finance jobs that don't really care about gpa but more about internships and personality that pay well. Open to almost anything in finance as long as it pays well and isn't private wealth. Any specific companies that don't care about gpa in the investment industry? Thanks

I say cast a wide net. You reach out to 100 different firms, and present yourself well, you're bound to find a few that will give you an interview.

Don;t get too picky when applying to places, big and small; save that for when you have offers in hand. At the worst, a no-name firm goo interview prep for the offers you really want, and at best offers leverage (for salary, etc.) and post-grad job security.
