Job Opportunities with my current experience

Hello,

I am currently doing a self study (WSP modeling, ER reports, reading books/new) to eventually break into ER/AM. I have been working in the back office of a back office for almost a year now and would like to know what relevant jobs can I get that can be somehow relevant for breaking in. While I have been doing really well, my current job is making my brain numb as it requires no thinking, has almost no transferable skills, and the pay is shit. I recently passed the series 7 to transition into another department if all else fails, but they will all be BO roles. I am planning on starting to network soon but I still need to learn a little more to have a competitive edge, and since this process might take a while I would like to get a more relevant job in the meantime. It seems now is a prime time for hiring. Are there any opportunities available for a 3.0 econ non-target with the experience/knowledge mentioned above? Can anyone make any recommendations and also tell me if these job postings below are relevant and possible for me? Thank you in advance.

If all else fails, I am still going to take the CFA this summer and take a shot at an MSF if necessary.

Networking has an uncanny ability to get you jobs you're not qualified for. But for real stretches, you can always put a dream job one jump away. Yes, aim for those jobs that have transferable skills and that have the ability to get you great experience in those skills. So when you interview for the job you want, you have great examples to talk about.

Sorry for not being clear enough. That's what I am trying to understand. What kind of positions are there that are not of a high caliber but would provide value down the line? Like something in FP&A, auditing, accounting, etc that are "lower" level but have transferable skills into the associate/analyst positions that I am aiming for, specifically in ER/AM. Thank you.

I think you should go step by step, if you feel this is the right time to move the job, but now it is difficult to find work, anyway good luck
