Jumping ship early ?

Hey,

Any advice on that question would be appreciated. I'd be starting at a position straight out of college in about 1 month. The issue is that even though the pay is relatively good, it isn't in the field & location I'd want to be in.

At this point I have to take it to pay for bills but I was wondering if I should put that job on my resume if I’m looking for a job in parallel as it's a well-known company and I don't have any work experience besides that.

Thanks!

Hello,

I had something similar, I can’t say what you should do unfortunately that’s still your decision and it has to be yours anyone else’s and it’ll come back to bite.

If it isn’t in the field and location you want there’s a chance that you’ll just end up making yourself miserable, working on something that doesn’t interest you and in a location that you don’t want. However there’s a chance you’ll love it and work with some pretty great people.

If you are wanting to do it for your CV, it’s experience at the end of the day work is work and you can’t always like the work you do. If your just doing to do it for a year or a couple of months while you find something else why not.

I hope this helps, I hope you come to a decision.
